As 3M continues to seek to improve the performance of their products, we wanted to share some updates to their portfolio offerings.
3M™ Controltac™ Changeable Graphic Film IJ3552C will be transitioning to a new adhesive starting mid-August. This new adhesive will not impact the overall product performance. The reason for this change was due to the phasing out of a raw material.
3M will be discontinuing 3M™ Print Wrap Film IJ180mC-10UR at the end of 2024. The recommended vinyl replacement is IJ3552C.
Starting in mid-August, the 8508 overlaminate will move from a cast vinyl to a non-cast vinyl construction. The film will be slightly thicker and may exhibit a slightly lower gloss level that is still within 3M’s current 8508 specification.
